Venere.com Complaint - Credit Card Fraud - Hotel Reservation

Review by Consumer on 2011-09-08
I tried to book a hotel in New York using the on-line site. After putting my information in, I wasn't able to proceed with the reservation. I called the number provided and tried to book that way, but the agent kept getting the information wrong, so I gave up and called the hotel directly. Two minutes later, my bank called to say that someone was using my credit card number in France.

I thought the site was safe. I'd like to warn everyone!!!

I agree
When I was checking out from a hotel that I had booked using venere.com, I had a glance at the printout of the reservation that they had, and to my squrprise I saw that the page had all the details of my credit card : number, 3 digit CVC code, expiry date!!! I got the card cancelled from the bank and now I am relieved!!! How can the card details be available to the hotel employees in plain text!!! Avoid this site
