Priceline Complaint - Priceline Sucks - Hotel
Several months ago I was in Indianapolis and booked a "name your price room" with Priceline. 4 star room "downtown" Indianapolis. The hotel was a hotel attached to the University Hospital several miles from "downtown" that they "call a down town hotel, ""because they have a suttle"". The hotel management say's "of course we sure not Downtown".
Calls to Priceline "customer care" were worthless.........This hotel not even listed in the Priceline list of downtown hotels.
Ok, I'm stupid. I receive a email "24hr sale" from Priceline. I already said I'm stupid so I bite. It's a "bait and switch" and of course I don't get a penny off the bill despite the misleading add. I do end up booking a hotel in Chicago. Another 4 star. The address looks wrong so I call the hotel but unfortunately the "new girl" didn't know where whe was, or the day of the week or which end was up. She sounded very sweet and hopefully she finds a nice young man to take care of her. She will NEED it. In any event She thought that the hotel was aprox 35 minutes North of the area where I had booked. So I call Priceline, 60 minutes later, listening to their Jingle, I get Ceasar. Ceasar lives in Mexico, and his "englesh is not so good", but that is ok since the connection is so bad I cann't hear him anyway. But he can say "no cancellations, no changes" many times he can say that, I think that's all he can say. I ask to talk to his suppervisor. I'm connected to someone in the Phillapines, bad connection. "no cancellations, no changes." ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS WHY I SELECTED AREA 5 AND GOT AREA 6!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry even if you selected area 5 and we mistakenly gave you area 6 and you are 35 minutes from your meeting and it's our fault. "NO CHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS."
FINALLY I FIGURED IT OUT. There is a 933 south and a 933 north skokie blvd and if you "copy and paste" the address given by Priceline on mapquest you get NORTH. The hotel is 7 min from my meeting. IT TOOK ME 2 HOURS OF MY LIFE AND CALLS 1/2 WAY AROUND THE WORLD, TO GET NO QUESTIONS ANSWERED AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I remember when Priceline was great and Shatner was skinney, bur alas neither are now true. AVOID PRICELINE.
