AAA Complaint - Stole My New Battery!
As I was getting to leave for work I notice my lights were dim and car would not start! I called aaa club and they sent a light service truck to test the new batt. In my 2010 vehicle, after waiting over 2hrs (because the aaa driver was installing a new aaa battery)and had another aaa driver deliver a batt. For that member! Instead of servicing my vehicle as it was on the way, aaa dispatch supervisor told me that battery sales comes first because revenues from any service sale generated is money for the fleet of trucks and bonuses for employees. After waiting over 2hrs. The driver showed up with food crumbs on his shirt and said I might need a new batt. As I showed him the car might start now because it regained its strenth after almost 3hrs, he said it will have the same out come tne next morning and said the batt. Is only warrantyd for 30days from new. So I gave him the go ahead at a cost of $180.00 And 40min wait for batt. Delivery. Later that day I called my car dealer to see exactly what the batt. Warranty is and to find out it 60months!
I would of checked my dealer first! But was not open as tryed several times. I notified aaa management about what happened they said they do not do returns and my batt. Was sent out to be recycled. After 20yrs as a member I canceled my platnium membership and insurance.
