NEWPORT RICHEY, FLORIDA -- Alltel communications has nor regard for their customers by any sense of the word. Approximately a year ago I changed my plan from there National Freedom to their lowest plan of 50 minutes for $20 dollars a month, which was suppose to begin the folowing billing period. The briliabt minds at ALLTEL decided to back date my plan and charge me in excess of $483 dollars for the month. No one at customer service would even look into it, so I started writing letters and sending them certified mail disputing this bill. Nothing happened, no one from Alltel ever bothered to contact me about this matter. On my fifith try I sent a certified letter to the CEO of the company and still no response. I have filed complaints with the FCC and also the Florida State Attorney General against ALLTEL. pon applying for a morgage in February of this year there is ALLEL on my credit report as a write off. To say I went ballastic was the least, I finally came across a person from the FCC who took interest and also from the Florida State Attorney's office, who mentioned that Florida's attornies were in the process of trying to mediate over 400 complaints against ALLtel just from Florida. So after a year of fighting and 8 certified letters sent and receipts signed and returned I receive a letter that they made a mistake and have notified th crdit reporting agencies to remove form my report. No mention of an apology from them or any offer of compensation for what they did to me. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM ALLTEL AND IF YOU KNOW ANYONE WHO IS CONTEMPLATING SWITCHING TO THEM JUST SHOW THEM THIS LITTLE STORY. LET'S SPREAD THE WORD AND LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT ALLTEL SUCKS YOU KNOW WHAT
