Humana Complaint - Unreliable Company
LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY -- I enrolled with Humana One Dental for two family members which started 6/23/2011. I had dental care, xrays & cleaning and submitted my Humana One Insurance card with my Membership number and Name and Plan listed on the Humana Card. The dentist made a copy of my Humana Dental card.
On August 26, 2011, I received a letter from Humana Claims Office stating they had received a claim from my dental provider. According to their records, the claim cannot be processed because 'this patient is not listed as an identifiable Humana/dependent under the identification number provided. I notified my dental provider and checked with them that they sent in the required information with the dental claim. They stated they did.
Humana One stated that I have 180 days from the date of denial letter to appeal this decision. What I will do is cancel my membership with this company.
