Sears Complaint - Craftsman Circular Saw
Seems the arbor has a lot of slop, allowing blade to move in & out... Makes it near impossible to cut straight. Appears to be manufacturing defect. Local store refused to replace or exchange.

That is unfortunate. I assume this saw is fairly new? If it is, and you have your receipt, I think they should consider replacing it for you. What reason did they give for not making an accommodation for you?
I have had a couple of Craftsman circular saws, and never had this issue.

I saw your post here and I want to apologize for the difficulties you’ve had with your Craftsman circular saw purchase. When an item we depend on fails, it’s always frustrating and made even more so with the lack of customer service you’ve received. Sears does have a 90 day return/exchange policy, with receipt, on most tools; if you are within that time frame there should be no problem getting the exchange you want.
