Dollar general on Ironbridge rd. Complaint - Way i was treated as a paying customer

Review by allensandra62 on 2011-09-12
One morning I went to D. G and they wasn't open yet. So I waited outside until it was time. Then the manager came to open the door, as I walked in I spoke to the manager greeting him a good morning. He never opened his mouth to speak back as I made my way to the check out I spoke to clerk also greeting her a good morning, she spoke back! During this time while speaking with clerk I heard the manager say something to the effect that he work to much to be friendly or something to that effect. I felt that he was rude and I haven't been back at that D. G. I take my business to another D. G that is further from my house because I felt that I was treated in a nasty manner. Myself as a customer I will never go back there as long as he is there!!! Its a shame when you enjoy going to a certain store and now you no longer want to go there because of rude people working there!! But the clerk was very friendly and I hope something change so I will want to go back, but not as long as he is there being rude!!! I hope someone will let me know if thing change.

This shows just how important a "hello" can be.

Perhaps it was a sheepish excusive response stemming from realizing his poor CS and role modelling behavior after witnessing the pleasant, appropriate exchange between you and the cashier allensandra.

He might have been joking or maybe he said that and was completely not directing it at you or anything. Either way DG is still getting your money...
