Travelers Insurance Complaint - Why bother with insurance if they just say "no"
My basement got quite wet during the hurricane so Travelers came out to inspect. The inspector spent about two hours (!!) drawing a map of my basement floor where the carpet was and taking photos of everything.
I finally heard from them much later saying nothing was covered. I'm told that the only way water damage is covered is if you have a sump pump which failed.
Why did they bother coming out instead of just asking if I have a sump pump if that's the rule? Makes no sense.
And on top of that, my sister also had water damage from the hurricane and got everything approved and she also has Travelers! What's up - different rules for different agents?
I'm so annoyed - 13 years of paying and this is my first claim and now they say it's denied.
