WhoNu? Cookies Compliment - Who Knew Delicious Could Be So Nutritious?
There's a new cookie on the block, and I heard it calling my name from the supermarket shelf. I passed over the Double Stuff Oreos for the sake of 20 essential vitamins and minerals. Apparently I CAN have my cake (or in this case, cookies!) and eat it, too!
WhoNu? cookies come in four varieties:
Sweet, soft, velvety crème smooshed between two crispy, chocolatey cookies.
Bold and crunchy on the outside, creamy smooth on the inside, vanilla is the perfect blend of cookie personalities.
Crispy Chocolate Chip
Its beauty is in its simplicity – delicious cookie taste, enhanced with brief chocolatey interruptions and a crispy crunch that makes you glad you’re capable of chewing.
Chewy Chocolate Chip
This cookie is not afraid to show its softer side. Sure, it’s sensitive, until you taste it. Then the gooey chocolatey goodness invades your taste buds.
One serving of three cookies contains:
As much fiber as a bowl of oatmeal
As much calcium and Vitamin D as an 8oz. glass of milk
As much Vitamin C as a cup of blueberries
As much iron as a cup of spinach
As much Vitamin E as two cups of carrot juice
As much Vitamin B12 as a cup of cottage cheese and fruit
As much Vitamin A as an 8oz. glass of tomato juice
One serving also contains 3 grams of fiber, 150 to 170 calories and 5 to 7 grams of fat, depending on the variety.
Sounds great, doesn't it? But the real question is, how do they taste?
I've only tried the chocolate variety, and although it's not a Double Stuff Oreo, it is surprisingly tasty. And the more you eat, the better they taste. Of course, that could be a problem if you have no self-control.
These cookies are worth trying if you're looking for something that offers more than empty calories. Put some in your kid's lunchbox, If you don't hear any complaints, you'll know you have a hit. Hint: If your kids can read, hide the cookie box so they won't know what they're eating.
The best part is that these cookies are not any more expensive than other brands. I bought them on sale at two boxes for $5.00.
