Advance auto parts Complaint - Wrong parts - altinator and voltage regulator

Review by born2win3277 on 2011-09-16
while getting a 1976 Dodge D40/sportsman motorhome ready for vacation, altinator quit charging. purchased both from advance auto parts in albert lea, had to return these parts due to failure. was told I had other problems. second altinator failed while we were on the road. went to a different parts dealer. was explained to me. I had been sold the wrong (to low amp) altinator. I replaced it with the correct (114 amp. needless to say, all this BS ruined our fishing trip. the parts man @ advance failed to look up the correct parts. after I called him about what had happened he refunded my creditcard. I'm still out a balance of $30. + the core charge of $15.00 I paid to get the rite parts
