That sucks but what did you want Albertson's to do? As far as I know most parking lots have disclaimer signs posted stating they are not responsible for items stolen or damage to cars. The only thing I can think of is to see if they have security cameras to review, but then, I imagine you would need to get the police involved for that.

Just not enough information to comment

Did they refuse to call the police for you? Or, were you expecting them to pay for the damages?

Unfortunately this happens all the time in parking lots. The stores are never responsible for damage that occurs from other vehicles.

I feel your pain. I once came out from shopping at another store, and my entire back end of my car was smashed in to the point, it was almost totaled.

I asked the store if they may be had anything on video that we could look at, but they said the cameras weren't working. Whether they were working or not, it's not their responsibility.

There is nothing like coming back to your car after leaving parked in a public area, and finding it damaged! Maybe try filing a police report if you haven't already.

There really isn't enough information here to comment about.

While I agree that there is really not enough info to work with, what do you expect of the store? A motel in my old district was constantly having people trying to sue them because their cars were broken into or vandalized. I had to agree with the clerks that the motel was not responsible, that I would take a report, but that realistically, they would just have to deal with their insurance companies.
