Healthdesigns.com Complaint - Undelivered Items - Online purchase of toothpaste
At the beginning of August I decided to order natural toothpaste from healthdesigns.com. I had never ordered from them before, but decided to do so after seeing their flat-rate shipping cost to Canada, which was $5. It was specified that there were no tracking numbers issued, and that didn't bother me as I had been doing online ordering for the past couple of years and had all my purchases delivered to me without any problems whatsoever. I placed the order, and a few days later a received an automated email saying that the order had been mailed out. At the end of August, I still had received the order. On Sept. 1 I sent an email to customer service, and someone responded that it had been sent out. On September 2nd, I received an email from the company which stated in part that a partial refund had been sent to my Paypal account. As it was a form letter, it stated that the refund was due to me returning an item, which I hadn't done, or that the items on back order hadn't arrived yet.
I made a further enquiry, and the person responding stated: "It seems as though your package was unable to be delivered and was returned back to us late yesterday. We have since refunded that order and closed it." Although the flat-rate shipping cost was low, $5, I didn't like the fact that they kept that instead of refunding the entire amount to me. I wasn't happy with this first experience ordering from this company, and I won't be ordering again.
