Dell Computer Corporation Complaint - Dell lies and steals
I ordered a computer from Dell in good faith. When I did I made sure that I could get it delivered on Saturday, the ONLY DAY I could be at home to receive it. Dell told me that it would be no problem to deliver on Saturday. Wednesday I called to make sure. I got fobbed off from UPS to Dell to UPS to Dell to UPS to Dell to UPS to Dell. No one would take responsibility. UPS doesn't do Saturdays, not without arranging it through Dell (which supposedly it already was). Dell was flippant and didn't know why I was calling them. It was a UPS problem. UPS said that they don't deliver Saturdays, and I had to arrange a Saturday delivery through Dell. Dell doesn't do Saturdays. The only thing that they allow me to do is give up two days wages to sit around and wait for the package. If I do that, I can't afford the computer, and I'll probably get fired from my job. Dell's attitude was, "Gee, too bad. I guess you won't get the computer then." I told them I wanted to cancel the order. They hung up. I called back, was put on hold for 45 minutes, then they hung up. I tried to get a hold of them through their site, but they kept deleting my messages and refusing to send them. They delete my messages from the community boards. I finally got a message through and got an answer.
Dell is keeping my money. They refuse to cancel the order. They're simply pocketing the money that I gave them. I was told that MY ONLY OPTION is to be docked two days pay to sit around and wait for them to deliver the package. Obviously I can't do this. Their customer "care" is more like customer abuse. I've never been treated so horribly! DON'T BUY A DELL! Not unless you simply feel like making a charitable contribution to Michael Dell. You'll be screwed over. They just don't care. Not about their product, not about their customers. They screw over the customers just for amusement. Then they hang up. I saved up for eight months to get a new computer. Now I have to save up for another eight months, since Dell has stolen my money. (Addendum: I tried to get an e-mail address for Dell for this report. I clicked on "e-mail us" on their website. They've removed the page! It doesn't exist anymore!)
