Theft On A Monthly Payment Plan Complaint - Theft at a rate of $6.99 per month
I lost my phone, attempted to trace my steps, made phone calls and no luck finding it. No Problem - I purchased this "great" service rather than go with my usual carrier. It was $1.00 per month less and no deductible - BIG MISTAKE. I called the company to file a claim - they are only open until 4:30 and had to file online. Received a notice that I would have results in 24 - 48 hours. Three days later, I again went online and left a message to please update the status. They wrote back - they needed more information. I called (during the day) and was told they needed more details and I would have to do it online and the representative said she knew I had access to online since that was how I had filed the calim. I asked for a supervisor and was put on hold for 5 minutes. Same info given - send it online. I also mentioned that the first one I talked to had a bit of an attitude - no apology that I remember from the supervisor. The next day I received an update - the claim was denied. I called again and was told that I could ask for a review - again, online. I did this and the next update was that I would get another update in 24 - 48 hours. Again - the claim was denied. I asked for a refund and was referred to the party collecting the $6.99 each month and would have to call them. (Now, I am without a phone for almost 2 weeks and the next deduction for the 'SERVICE' is ready to come out of my account again. After another phone call, I was told that it would take them 24 - 48 hurs to process my request cancellation of the 'COVERAGE' on the item I no longer have.
Don't get sucked in with the promise of better service - there is NO SERVICE - as far as I can tell, the company qualifies for the catagory of FRAUD!!!!
