Brothers Pizza at Skinner and 290 Complaint - Complaint about TV show playing in restaurant

Review by carolhoyland72 on 2011-09-22
I visited the location at Skinner and 290, but will not be visiting again. The pizza was good but the customer service is terrible. While we were there to eat in, one of the TV’s was showing a hunting program-the hunters were hunting and killing deer. I asked our server to change the channel;it was not changed. I asked to speak to the manager who informed me she could not access the remote. I told her it was totally inappropriate to show deer being slaughtered on the TV while patrons were eating, she didn't really see a problem with this and when I said that I would be writing a review and would not return, her response was 'what over a TV show?'. Terrible customer service and since there are plenty of other places to eat where you can actually enjoy the experience, I will be taking my service elsewhere.

That is completely inappropriate... especially if the meat on your pizza was not venison.

Good post.

Sometimes the only way we have to hurt a business doing wrong is to deprive them of your money.

I can understand not wanting to watch that. It's probably hard for them to please everyone, but if customers object to a certain program it would be nice to accommodate them.

Was anyone else already watching the show? Granted I would not want to watch this type of program while eating either, but plenty people might not mind

that would move to the bottom of my list of places to eat.

The manager did NOT have access to the remote. What was she supposed to do? It probably was something on ESPN, which normally has on other sports, but sometimes has these on if no other sports are on. (ESPN2 is looking better everyday now, ESPN itself seems to be these types of shows and sportscenter repeated for half the day.)

I bet if somehow a porn movie started playing on the TV set the manager would have figured out how to get it off the set and QUICKLY.

I, too, do not believe the manager couldn't findthe remote. How do they shut it off then? If manually, then just shut the darn TV off until you are done eating. You tried to no avail and now you are speaking with your wallet.

The manager may not have had access to the remote, but I am certain they could have turned the television off.
