Zimbrick Used Cars West Complaint - After Sale Customer Service Stinks

Review by SFORD05171 on 2011-09-22
Bought used 2005 Buick Lacrosse from zimbrick on Thursday evening, engine
light came on Friday morning. Sales manager / salesman have done nothing but jack me around for 6 days, going to call back but never do. Car came with 90 day warranty on " power train " ... Try to get them to honor in timely manner or acknowledge loose wheel bearing and thermostat housing is part of covered power train... Near impossible. Will not ever recommend
zimbrick for a car purchase.

It depends what is in your specific warranty.

Some powertrain warranties cover the parts that can be removed from the engine (eg thermostat housing), but some only cover the block and internal parts. That is "long block" vs "short block".

A wheel bearing may be considered a "wear part" and not be covered.

A good rule of thumb when buying a used car - if the seller will not allow you to take the car to an independent mechanic to be given a thorough check before the purchase - run don't walk away.
