Home Depot Compliment - Satisfied Customer
I find the HD Carpet Installation service low stress. I had control of the whole process. I was giving an initial estimate, then when the official measurement came in, I had the official quote. I was given the opportunity to make changes, and only then when I had all the information did I sign on the dotted line, and even then, the paper says I have 3 days to change my mind. Seems low stress to me. I dunno what all the bad reviews are all about, perhaps those customers did not do enough research and/or expect to be hand-holded. Needs hand-holding? go with a local independent installer. The HD installer looks like the handyman on Two-and-a-Half man, honest! I chuckled. He was very methodical, explained everything, to the point I was getting impatient, like OK I know, just do it, but he insisted he had to let me know ahead of time so I won't be surprised. I like it, this guy seen some nasty customers before and he goes by the book. Excellent. After seeing him doing the hollywood steps, am glad I let them do it, because I would be grumbling if I had chose to do it myself to save$ He keeps apologizing he was later 45 minutes. Nice guy. Going the HD route, I probly paid more, but I like the low stress process. With an independent I would feel like am wasting his time if I don't go by what he says. Home Depot, I had the choice to stop/pause the process along the way and if I cancel I don't feel nothing about it.
Home Depot good for those who do own-research, likes to know exactly what he/she's buying, have control of the whole process, stop/pause/cancel as desired without guilt. Home Depot not good if you need lots of hand-holding, need them to explain everything to you in layman terms.
