Dear Sir/Madam

I had a problem with my car. And I send e-mail to Chevrolet Turkey. But they didn’t give me a satisfying answer. I am sending you the e-mail I send.

“CHEVROLET TURKEY GENERAL OFFICE – iZMiR (Turkey)
I am the owner of 2004 Chevrolet Lacetti which plated 59 PH 700. My car is at 62.000 km. I have sent you a mail about a problem withm my car. (skocyigit6060@Hotmail.com)
When I first start my car at mornings I hear a voice. After a few minutes the sound goes. I took the car to Corlu Inan Service. They give me a report and told me that the repair may be cost 3000 TL. (1700 dollars)

If a car gives engine problem at 62000 km the trust of me and others to the car will be lasted. And no one thinks to buy this car. This may be very negative for you.
Also I made some researches. And I learned that this problem is seen by some other users. So this condition may be a big problem for you in Turkey. I am warning you about this problem.
According to your negative answer I will take this problem to internet world (complain, car etc web sites), Consumer Protection Association, visual media and after that to the headquarters of Chevrolet America.

I want you to know that I will seek my rights.

With Best Regards

The Chevrolet Lacetti is a model sold overseas...probably based on a Korean Daewoo design.

Also, how often was the oil changed and the servicing done on this vehicle? If oil changes and maintenance is neglected, it will cause engine problems. Changing the oil at least every 5000 miles/7500 kilometers should prevent most engine problems.

How many other problems did you find online? "Some" could only be two or three.

What diagnosis has been made in your case or the others as to what the problem is and what caused it?

I don't know about Turkey, but here in the States, there is no way any car maunfacturer will warranty an eight-year old car. I am not conversant with the metric system, but 62,000 km should be around 45,000 miles, give or take. Again, way above the mileage when your warranty runs out. After that point, repairs are totally your problem. I do feel for you, but that is reality.
