General Motors Complaint - Drivers Door And Drivers Side Passenger Door
I bought a 2006 Buick Rainier. I bought an AMERICAN made vehicle with the intention of supporting the AMERICAN work force and because I like GM products. I have had the drivers side door handle break Three times as the passenger door handle also. I have taken this vehicle to Tom Bell Chev. in Redlands, Ca. to be repaired. Each time the door handle has got to be ordered, painted and then replace by their service center. the first time I paid $200 plus for the repair. Before I know it, it's broken again.
I have a 3 year old that is with me in my car at all times. I sincerely hope that in a time of emergency, I don't have to try to open one of these doors to retrieve this child out the vehicle and have this or these doors fail. Do you see where I am coming from??? This is not a good safety feature at all.
Now I understand that the part that keeps breaking is made in a foriegn country, and to boot it is made of PLASTIC?? This is an AMERICAN made vehicle?
I need to have this problem resolved. It could be a matter of great pertinence to a small child. I do indeed love this vehicle, but I don't want to be making trips to have it repaired every 3-6 months. it is of great incovenince to me because of the child and the trip to Redlands every time. But most and foremost I am gravely concerned about the safety issue with this vehicle.
