United Benefit Service Complaint - Credit Card Fraud
Complaint

NEBRASKA CITY, NEBRASKA -- As a consumer from your state, I felt it was my responsibility to bring to your attention the following incident.
I recieved a call from United Benefit Services. They wanted to give me a credit card that had a $2,500 limit along with a Gateway Computer. The fee was a one time of 354.00. The money was to be taken out of my checking account on Jan. 20th of 2005. I called UBS on Jan. 4th and told them to cancel the order and that I have changed my mind. Do NOT take any money out of my account. On Jan. 20th they went ahead and took the money out anyway even though I cancelled. I have been calling the phone number that they gave me to get my money back. (I never did recieve any credit card nor did I recieve any new computer.) The number that they gave me is a corperation called CCR that handles UBS calls. CCR told me that I'm not the only person that UBS has done this to. In fact there are around 20 people like me that has been put on a waiting list to recieve their money back like me. This has been going on for 8 months now and I would like to get my money returned to me.
As a resolution, I would like the following:
Law suit maybe. I just want to get my money back. Since UBS took this money out of my account I recieved alot of overdraft charges in January do to this. From all the overdraft charges that I was getting is the way I found out that UBS took money out of my account without my permission.
