Travelocity Complaint - Blocked Money from Credit Card without Booking !
Pricing looked competitive so tried to book interContinental flights through Travelocity. Spent lots of time picking the right flights, filling in all the passenger and ordering details. Then filled in credit card details, but after submitting for payment was told the ticket was not available, please choose another one.
Did some further searching, found an alternative, filled in all the details again, tried to re-submit for payment and was then told that the credit card couldn't be processed. After checking with the bank found out that Travelocity had blocked an amount for the first failed booking-attempt, even though no booking was actually done!!!
I called their customer services who said that no booking was done and I 'should' get access to the money again in 1-2 days. I told them that this seemed like a scam to me, and only got the advise 'to contact my bank' and 'have a nice day'...
So no booking and no access to funds in my credit card to make another booking... Stay away from Travelocity!
