queen mary hotel, long beach, ca. Complaint - quality vs. quantity vs. rates/upkeep

LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA -- The QMS docked at LB, CA, Hotel/full service hotel/ship. The QM was a wonderful ship, since I have stayed on her since she became a hotel, I found that she is in poor condition, the state room, I stayed in had considerable wear, well worn carpeting, not cleaned and even beat up bed covers, like they could have actually came from her first voyage. In the shower area the moulding and metal around the tub area were exposed, leading me to think that a person could easily cut their leg severly, since it was exposed metal, there also was quite a bit of mold growing inthe tub surroundings. The glass drinking cups had chips in them, not a good thing. As I was leaving the room on this deck "B" the carpeting was lifting in the walk-ways and held down by silver duct tape. Now i think this is all appaling considering the price of a room at the QM. Even the public bathroom on
the promanade deck was in poor shape, as if it was
not cleaned in at least 3 days. I would frequent
the QMS again, in the near future if the owners could find time to really take care of her, does the city really want the japaneese or disney to take her again ? Clean her up and please, ship shape.....In all she needs alot of work.

I think the question on everyone's mind is this: Is it really haunted. Did you experience any paranormal activity?

THe original Queen Mary was a beutiful, grand ship. It's sad to hear that it is not being kept in good conition.

Ironically, I was just discussing this hotel/boat with someone yesterday and wondering what a unique experience it would be to stay at her.

Hi Cristo, sorry about your experience. There is a 'regular' on this site that can make 'one' phone call to remedy these problems. (See RK Chevrolet)
