Vizio Complaint - Back light problems.

I purchased a 55" Vizio TV from Wal-Mart in July of 2010. In September of 2011 the TV back light went out, but I still had sound. I contacted Vizio Tech support about the problem and all they would do was give me a number to a repair man for the TV. I expressed myself to the technician by telling him how disappointed I was in the quality and life of their product, and all they said was that electronics do fail. After the phone call, I decided to Google the reviews on Vizio and found out that this is a common problem and that there are a lot of unhappy customers that have complained about the back lights failing after a short time. With that said, I am having the TV repaired at a cost of $400.00, (31% of the cost of the TV), and it appears that Vizio does not have a solution, or a plan to fix this problem, so the next time I purchase a new TV it will not be a Vizio!
