Jordan's Furniture Informative - Quality issue with leather couch - Leather couch
Review by junkcrot99 on 2011-10-02
After reading some furniture reviews for Jordan's Furniture I can see that I am not alone with furniture that did not perform as I expected. When I ordered my leather reclining couch, loveseat, and chair I was told that it was leather everywhere but the back and sides but that wasn't the complete truth. Apparently there is vinyl in between the seat cushions and in the last six months it has started to split and I have over 10 separate slits in between the three cushions because of an inferior faux leather. Granted, this set started spliting after 7 years, longer than some others have stated but this was not the cheapest couch in the showroom and I expected it to last much, much longer. I have one fabric couch that is 20+ years old and another one that is probably over 15 years old that are still holding up beautifully which is testement that we are not rough on our furniture. I called customer service recently to see if this problem would be considered a manufacture defect and I was told that the couch was not under any warranty and it could not be repaired, even if I wanted to pay for it. The customer service representative that I spoke with was very nice and did research it for me but was unable to help in any way. Needless to say, the replacement couch will not be purchased at Jordan's. When buying leather furniture from Jordan's be prepared to replace it quicker than a fabric one or buy one that is 100% leather, if there is such a thing because anything less than that will not age well.
