MT. KISCO, NEW YORK -- I have had nothing but trouble with this multifunction machine. There seems to be a bug in the printing software, within 6 weeks the sheet feeding aligment broke, and it gulps toner. I went online for help. That was down for reconstruction. I called customer service only to be told the sheet feeding problem was hardware requiring the machine to be taken to their autorized repair shop which didn't answer the phone. The original customer service operator at Brother transfered me to someone else there for the software related problem. After waiting for over 30 min on hold, I hung up. Brother, Never Again!

Exactly. My Brother MFC7160C cost an initial fortune ($500+) and has let me down in every way... from an irreparable scratch on the scanner (which I didn't use for a few weeks, so it was 'too late' to return it) to probably needing a new printer head (($143) after very very little use. The ink must evaporate, because I hardly ever print.. and when I do the yellow light goes on that the ink is almost gone! I've purchased ink pack sets THREE times in the last 2 years.. and maybe printed a total of 200 pages, hardly any of them in color.
When complaining to Brother on the phone, I was told that you have to USE the printer or the ink will dry out. Should I be pressured to to print something just to use up the ink before it dries out? A couple years ago, before my need to print dwindled, my HP 600C printer printed 100's of full-color brochures and banners etc. I hardly ever needed to buy ink!
Brother refused to compensate me for the third purchase saying that a couple months went by since the purchase and they can't be responsible. How would I know it would be out of ink any sooner?
Brother is OUT of my future purchases.

My Brother M-F-er has been nothing but trouble to me too. He ran off with my wife and dented my driver side door before leaving. I have tried to contact my mother but she has no response for me. I would like a full refund on my wedding oe at least sombody to reply or at least aknowlege that this is wrong.
