6pm.com Complaint - Bad customer "service"

Review by donmarquito on 2011-10-04
They have some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. It took them more than a week to process my order. During that time I sent them an email to inquire about why it was taking so long. A few days later, I got a robotically-generated "response" that did not address my inquiry. I then sent them an email requesting they cancel the order (they do not offer any way to contact them by phone). A few days later, they shipped it anyway. I then contacted them to request that they pay the return shipping, since I had already canceled the order well before they shipped it. Their response was that I should not have accepted the package if I didn't want it, and once I accepted it, I had to pay return postage.

From their website: "If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, you have 30 days from the purchase date to return it. All merchandise must be unworn and in the same condition it was received. To return your order simply log into your account, click the order number containing the item(s) you wish to return, and then click the "Proceed to Return Process" link located at the bottom of the page. (This option will not be available if your order is outside the 30 day range.) Customers are responsible for all return shipping charges. Once your order is received you will receive a refund for the amount paid for the returned item back to the original method of payment. The original $6.95 shipping fee is not refundable."

They sound very reasonable. It would also make sense that the consumer should cover the shipping charges.
