Bank of America Complaint - Shifty Bookkeeping Practices/Excessive Overdraft Fees
Bank of America stole over $420. of my hard earned money by charging me
$35. four times on one occasion and again $35. eight times for their saying
I was overdrawn. I check my balance every day online and on my mobile before purchasing when I use my debit card for business (I am a small business person) that does events every weekend and operates a kiosk another three days a week. I have to shop for merchandise and supplies two days a week so the use of my debit card is imperative. They will say a debit is in process yet the amount has been deducted from your balance so it is no longer available. If a check comes through it is not shown until the next day so they pay the check, in one case it was $200. the debits that were deducted already suddenly are overidden by the check. They pay the check and charge me four times for debits that were already deducted. Instead of charging one fee of $35 for the check they charge four or eight times for the debits. In the meantime a large deposit is made the same day from my credit card processor that would have paid everything and then some. I am suddenly out of working capital due to the fees. I was told once by a branch manager that it would be highway robbery to charge a fee for anything under $10. but they have charged me for a thirty four cents difference. Their rules have changed. They have
even charged me for a one cent difference. The same manager does not have the power to override it. I have talked to their customer service people and another manager. They won't even give me any of the money back if I became a credit card merchant of theirs. They are short sighted and theives.
