Pleasant Hills Chrysler 600 Clariton Blvd Pittsburgh Pa 15236 Complaint - Cat Converter Gone Bad

I took my car to dealer above on 9/23/11. It had 79236 miles a tested to have a bad cat convertor. r/o 19509. The srevice dept at above dealership can not seem to get a part; Ive been told to try and keep miles under 80000. This is impossible. PLEASE HELP TEL 412-310-6570 MY CONTACT AT DEALERSHIP IS JOHN.

I'm not sure why you are the one who has to track down the part? That's what they get paid for.

Is this the only dealership in the area you are able to take your vehicle to?

Try calling Bakota's Auto Service in Munhall (412) 461-3599, Bowser of Pleasant Hills on Clairton Blvd. (888) 457-5586 or Munro Muffler of Pleasant Hills [also on Clairton Blvd.] at (412) 653-7444. Any of them can probably help you since Chrysler can't.

Alain - from what I infer (perhaps wrong), the OP is being told to keep his miles under 80,000 until a cat convertor can be found. I am guessing so that there is no issue with the warranty.

I'm thinking he needs to go through Chrysler to get the warranty covered. I am dumfounded that Chrysler can't help him. I would find a different Chrysler dealer. That is a lot of "I"s - I'm confused ):
