Complaint - Insurance rates are not accurately compared

Review by steve84 on 2011-10-08
First off let me say, I am an independent insurance agent and I thought I would check out the competition by entering my information for a quote. What I found was not only do you have to re-enter your information because it doesn't all filter through but if you look at the coverages you were quoted and the coverages you now have, you will find that the coverages quoted to you are state minimum (which I never suggest to anyone) and if you requested full coverage, you are given a quote for liability only. No matter what carrier or agent calls you back, you are NOT comparing apples to apples. The only way lower your premium to $36/month is you must have a perfect driving record, and be married, possibly own a home and do not get full coverage. Don't be dupped by these false ads, see an independent agent in your area and ask for a quote through them. You'll be happy you did.

Of course the low rates from any insurance company are usually the least amount of coverage. For some people, that works.

No matter what, it's just always a good idea to get the best value and coverage for your money. We have our vehicles, plus homeowners insurance, life insurance, and I'm very very happy with my insurance company. Great discounts and safe driver discounts keep our premiums at a great rate, with complete and full coverage.

Thanks for reminding people to do their homework, drive safe and to shop around.
