DirecTV Complaint - Taking Money Without Billing For it AFTER cancellation.
When we cancelled DirectTV we were charged $111.07 for receivers which we already returned. This fee was deducted, without warning, directly from our bank account. When we called to dispute the charge we were told it would be returned within 3 days. When we didn't receive it withing 3 days we were told it would be a month. Before that month's time we were sent a check for $70.07. When we called to inquire why the check was $41 dollars short we were told it was a "Programming Adjustment". No bill was received for this adjustment and this was after we already had paid a $237.17 cancellation fee. So, they took $111.07 dollars from our account stating it was for the boxes, only returned #70.07 and kept $41.00 for undocumented and unrelated charges that I have no proof are accurate AFTER we cancelled services. Shady unfair business practices, rude "customer service", imaginary charges.
