Dillard's Online Bridal Registry Complaint - Avoid Dillard's Online Bridal Registry
Dillard's sent people who bought me wedding gifts an email notice that their gift had been returned and that they had a credit. Dillard's had given me a store credit because the products that were purchased for us looked so different, we decided to return it. So, I had to write thank you cards that explained why I exchanged their gift and it was terribly embarrassing!! I asked Dillard's to write an apologitic email to the persons who received this nasty email, but I have not seen a confirmation that they did this or anything. In fact, I just learned that they did not do this.
Also, when someone purchases an item on the online registry and it is on back order, we cannot get the information about who purchased the item.
Finally, Dillard's does not give us the addresses of people who purchased items for us on the website, which just stinks. There is a huge delivery fee too.
I would recommend Macy's because they give you a 10% discount, seems to have better customer service and the discount would help cancel out the shipping costs.
I will never even shop at Dillard's again and it makes me sick that I am stuck with this registrty. I am going to ask for cash back after the wedding (and unfortunately after buying a set of China because I had to put that in my thank you cards) and then go buy what I need somewhere else.
