American Home Shield Complaint - Cancel American Home Shield ASAP - Air Conditioner
Air Conditioner - Complaint
I had AMS for 3 years. My AC went out, they sent a contractor, its dead & you need a new one. They send a photo to AMS without talking to me. I call AHS- "Sorry, you have damage"- Some of the little fins that collect moisture on the outside unit were bent.
They gave me the option of getting a 2nd opinion. 2nd Contractor can fix it. They planned to use a used coil (guts of the AC).
I email the 1st Contractor that tells me my unit will die anyway if I do that. This guy actually cared because it was his small business I planned to Craigs & Angies List.
The scam is, you pay every month. They'll fix small items, but when it comes to the reason you had the policy in the first place, AMS will claim damage or lack of servive & never pay.
Its a SCAM- Cancel your policy immediately!

I've seen a lot of complaints here and on other sites about home warranty companies. Enough so that I wouldn't ever consider using one. So thank you for your review and warning.
