HSA Complaint - HSA Caused Me Lots of Tears and Tons of Money

Review by catherineagreenwood29 on 2011-10-11
CROSS PLAINS, INDIANA -- I had three situations where I called the home warranty and all three sounded and read like they should have been covered under the plan. The first time for plumbing issues a month into ownership, we brought in there suggested plumber and he called and it got denied, we were then stuck with a $200 house call and $1000 in fixing our own plumbing. The second time with an air conditioner, the reader assumes we would have learned but we followed the same guidelines and called their repair service and $250 bill with no warranty coverage. The third situation was with a leak that was at the base of the house coming in but on the exterior wall so after many phone calls they just started hanging up on us. I then asked to cancel the plan and got hung up on again, I called again and asked for a refund and things went poorly down hill. I would never suggest any home warranty if they are all this trouble some, especially from HSA.

Did you ask them to cite the contract as to why these things were denied? What did they say?

I guess it's hard to ask questions when they keep hanging up on you. This company obviously has no intention of honoring the warranty. That seems to be a common problem with warranty companies.
