Sears Complaint - Avoid this product
LEBANON, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- I have been a customer of Sears for many years. I recently purchased a new black and stainless steel 30 inch gas range. I was so excited, as it replaced a very old plain white range which stopped working.
For the first year, I was impressed with the performance of this product. However, after owning the stove for 18 months, the touchpad on the backguard stopped working. I could not turn on the oven and had to light the top burners with a match.
I called the repair line number, and was told they could not get a service person out here for three weeks. Now granted, I live in a rural area, but three weeks? I was supposed to go without an oven and light the burners every time I needed to use them for three weeks?
I am very disappointed, as in the past I was usually pleased with my purchases from Sears. Things sure have changed there. Unfortunately, this is not the first product recently that turned out to be a huge disappointment, but that is another story.
I would not recommend this stove to anyone.
