G E Profile Fridge Complaint - Horrible fridge

PENNSYLVANIA -- I purchased a GE Profile Fridge bout 2 yrs ago and I have it at the shore. So I only use it for three months of the year. Its a summer house. Well first the digital thing that tells you what the fridge and freezer is on (Temp) Broke. that cost $ 325. and now the slider thing on the freezer is no good. they want $263 for that part. you can say this is only 7months old. What is wrong with these fridges I ve heard a lot of other people complaining. I want the money back that I had to put out . Or take the damn machine it stinks. this model should be recalled.

G.E. does a pretty decent refrigerator; especially within their Profile line. They make a series designed with a feature they call Climate Keeper. It's basically a way of not sharing air between the refrigerator and freezer area and, thereby, keeping the contents fresher longer.

I might suggest contacting the merchant you purchased the unit through. Generally there's a warranty thing you agree to when making the purchase. It would be good to know how long your warranty is/was.

Please let us know what the warranty turns out to be, along with the actual model number of the unit you have.

That sure does sound like shoddy merchandise. And the cost of parts is certainly exorbitant. I hope they at least last longer than the original ones. When all is said and done, that is one expensive refrigerator!
