Autowest Toyota of California Complaint - Overcharged for Repair to Toyota

Review by dmfreitas48 on 2011-10-15
HAYWARD, CALIFORNIA -- On 10/10/11, I went to Autowest Toyota of CA, Hayward, CA to have my car checked out because the engine light and light indicator icon was showing on the dash board. I received an estimate of $240.00 to find out the problem. I was charged $324.00 for a neutral switch and $349.94 for labor. In addition, I was charged $324.00 to lengthen the electrcal wire in the tailgate for a total bill of $1,028.56. I believe I was ripped off. I bought my 2000 Toyota at Hayward Toyota and have been a faithful customer for 12 years (or should I say they have screwed over for 12 years). I'm done. I believe I was overcharged for parts and for labor. I am a senior citizen and a woman and I believe they took advantage of me.
