Walmart Complaint - Walmart employees treat customers like they're stealing!
SAVANNAH, GEORGIA -- Walmart has many many issues with providing good customer service. One of the biggest issues is customers using coupons. The walmarts in Savannah and pooler GA would have any shopper upset. I go to Walmart almost everyday and use coupons. In the past 3 months since I've been keeping tract there has been 1 nice cashier in about 90 days. I walk in the store and get glares from associates because they know I use coupons. I walk to the register and the moment I pull out my coupons they shake there head, roll their eyes, and walk off to who knows where while I stand there for 20 min. Then they come back and half the time tell me some ridiculous reason why I can't use my coupon. For example "you have a trial size item so you can't use this coupon" even though there is no size restriction. All the employees make it their mission to try to make sure I cannot use my coupons. I talk to store managers and the district manager. Every time the store apologizes and I end up being able to use my coupons, but thats only after I have to go over a CSM's head. And once I have store manager approval about a particular coupon it seems to only work for that day. The next day when I go in the store to use the SAME coupon I have to stand waiting for another hour for them to find out if I can use the coupon. Its a daily battle for me and I am treated like I steal for using coupons, and treated like I'm a liar when I'm trying to price match. You would think as many times as I Win my battles with Walmart the Customer Service Managers would treat me a little better. I have not been specific on a particular transaction because there are WAY too many. But I will use 1 example: Today when I went to Walmart the cashier told me to hold on because she needed approval on the coupon. After 10 min of waiting at the register ( its usually 30 min) I decided to go to customer service to see what the cashier was doing. When I got there I couldn't believe my eyes there were 4 people standing in a circle all looking at my coupon! I had a trial size toothpaste and the coupon said off ANY size. Of course this coupon confused them (it doesn't take much) so I waited at the register for 10 more min and when she came over she started scanning my coupons and looked me right in the eyes. She started shaking her head no saying "this just isn't right, this just isn't right" I told her that my coupons were fine and that I was following the corporate coupon guidelines and she said " Walmart should not accept coupons" The store manager apologized to me today but really? I don't think Walmart knows what sorry means because the same things keep happening over and over and over again!
