DishTV Net Complaint - Hard of Hearing - Hard Sell

Review by Mesquite on 2011-10-19
Recently subscribed to Dish package ove the phone. I announced that I was very hard of hearing - and the sales clerk and I sent over very carefully all the stats.

I wanted MSNBC, said that several times, also wanted DVR. Installer came with equipment that was not DVR - I had to upgrade to get it. After installed discovered I do not get MSNBC and would have to upgrade again. Each upgrade runs approx. $10.00.

Any suggestions about making a dent in this problem. Can ADD help, if so how?

I've telephoned several times, written two emails. No luck.

Is there someway you could use a relay service? They could probably help you communicate better and get things sorted out.

Sounds like THEY are the ones who are hard of hearing!
As Kris10 mentioned, you might want to check into the relay service. I have commnicated with many people who uses relay services, thought it takes longer, it's still a great service for people in your situation.
In the future, it might be a good idea to go online to order services like cable etc. That way, you know what you ordered, get a confirmation and have proof to show if you didn't get exactly what you ordered.

I have Comcast, and have had both DISH and DirecTV, and MSNBC has always been part of the Basic package. Good luck.
