Cigna Tel-Drug Complaint - Tel-Drug keeps blaming the doctor

HORSHAM, PENNSYLVANIA -- After many, many calls, I still do not have the refill of my cholesterol medication. Tel-drug keeps telling me the doctor won't authorize it. (What? The doctor wrote the prescription to begin with.) The doctor's office has faxed the authorization four times. My doctor's office says that the pharmacy can fill the prescription but HAP won't pay for it. So I go to find a place for HAP customer service -- I got the Cigna Tel-Drug number! Those are the crap-heads I started with! What really grinds me is that I pay for medical insurance. Why? I'm out of my cholesterol medicine and I see no way to get Cigna to give it to me. I think I'm screwed.

Before you give up hope, try contacting one of these numbers for some advice on how to proceed so that you can get your perscription: Pennsylvania Attorney Generals Office, Health Care Section, (717) 888-4877; Pennsylvania Attorney Generals Office, General number (717) 787-3391; Bureau of Consumer Protection, Philadelphia Office, (215) 560-2414. Out of these three numbers, someone can probably give you some assistance.
