Charter Communications Complaint - Customer Service
MICHIGAN -- Every time I call Customer Service about my bill, the representative seems to go everywhere except my question. Most times I get a person who has a thick foreign accent & it's hard to understand what they are saying. I called to see why I was charged an additional $3.10 on this month's bill & she finally said that it was because I changed my phone service. I had called on Aug. 29 to say I did not want call waiting. The customer representative at that time said he was unable to take that off for me, that I needed to go to their website on the Internet to remove it. I never did go there. The charge was for removing the call waiting, which I never wanted from the get-go. How did it get taken off my telephone service, & why was there a charge for something I told them from the beginning that I did not want. I select to take a survey when I call & then the survey does not come on the phone when I am finished talking with the rep, it just goes to a busy signal. I also asked the representative today if I could speak with someone else & she said I had to hang-up & call back to get someone else. She also asked if I would like the survey & I said yes but it never came on. Every time I speak with Charter, I am frustrated. They do not have competent customer service reps, in my opinion. It takes them forever to figure out an answer to my question. The people at the office in Greenville are not friendly either. What is it with their customer service? It's frustrating.
