ST. LOIUS COUNTY, MISSOURI -- Took my car in to have a torn seat cover replaced that was covered under my warranty. Upon picking up my car I was initially happy to see the new seat cover...but on my way home quickly realized they had replaced my power Jetta drivers seat with a manual drivers seat. I returned to the service department to confront them...showed the picture in my owners manual of the power seat controls I used to have. They looked me in the eye and LIED...saying that I always had a manual seat. I have driven the car for 3 years...I KNOW what kind of seat my car HAD. They are yet to replace my chair...I will not let this issue rest...even if I must go to the BBB. How would anyone like to take their car in for repairs and get a lessor quality product back? Will never purchase there again. I have many nieces and nephews approaching driving age and I will make sure that they to stay clear of this dealership on So Lindbergh in South County MO.

If you can PROVE you had a power seat (like on the original MSRP), take them to small claims court if no satisfaction from the BBB

I'd file a complaint with the district VW rep as well. This is outrageous.

Did you ask to see the seat that was removed?

I have to agree with bob93. Make sure you have proof before filing any action though.
