Tagg the Pet Tracker Informative - Dog GPS Failure
This product is a loser. My family is on the Verizon cell phone service. I purchased pet tracker at tagg.com and received the product on Oct 16, 2011. I charged it until it showed fully charged and then attached it to my dog’s collar. Two days later I put him in the car and drove down the road to make sure it worked. I got the alert that he was outside the area. I went on line and it showed me where he ended up. Six days later my dog left my property. I tried to locate him but it did not work because the battery was dead. Six days after it was fully charged the 30 day battery was dead. I called the customer service and after a long wait they said that if the dog is more than about 100 feet from the charging station the device goes off of power save mode and that’s why it was dead. What a scam. My dog is missing and I thought I would be able to track him. The map they have on the internet is terrible. It’s not nearly as good as my car’s navigation system. The customer service people are not informed on this product at all. The 30 day battery and the fact we are on Verizon wireless is the reason we waited to purchase this. What a lie. Do not buy this product.
