Procter and Gamble Complaint - Refills can't be found

Review by AZJEM on 2005-08-13
I purchased the Mr.Clean Magic Reach Mop at Sam's Club a couple months ago. I bought the complete starter kit for around $25.00.
I loved it. It did everything the ad said and made my cleaning alot easier.
The problem. Now I can not find any refill pads for the mop. I have gone to the obvious stores: Wal-Mart, K-Mart grocery stores, hardware stores.
Even at the place of purchase. No where.
I found the web-site and tried to get a list of stores and asked a couple of questions about why the product is hard to find. Also if I could purchase refills from the company.
Well, out of luck on all the questions for various reasons that were listed. Now because of the shape of the mop I can't use any other pads on it. The product is one of the best out there, but the company is making it difficult to use. Before you buy, make sure you can find additional refills for this. The only disappointment on this product.

Buy stuff made by SC Johnson - they're a better company. P&G is afraid to narrow their brand portfolio - thusly, they're dividing their focus among too many products as opposed to focusing on improving their power-lines.
Their top three competitors, Kraft, Unilever, and ConAgra have all done so and are thriving.
