Bob Evans Restaurant Informative - She Should've Graciously Accepted The Drink - Food To Go Review
Food To Go Review
MISSOURI -- This is in regards to the customer who stormed out because she and another customer ordered food "to go" and one was offered a free beverage, this one was not. She complained to the manager about not getting a free-bie, then was offered a free-bie by the manager, refused it, like a child stomping feet on the ground and stormed out.
Unacceptable behavior on behalf of the customer.
Proper behavior by that of the manager.
Customers at any restaurant/bar often don't realize that servers, at some locations, are permitted to comp only ONE drink per work shift - to a favorite "regular" customer, or as an "I'm sorry - I screwed up your order, forgive me" or "wow, that other customer was so rude towards you, no excuse for that! We don't condone those types here, this drink is on me, please come back."
The customer in this case was childish & selfish - and more than likely just having a bad budgetary day. Seriously, I believe at one time or another we have all had a drink compted for us somewhere on the face of the planet earth. However, I've never heard -anywhere- of someone complaining that this person got a compted drink and I didn't..... talk about stealing somebody's thunder !! In this economy, people are doing things and displaying atrocious attitudes that I've never heard of.
In regards to another review...
I thought it was kind of cute when I read the elderly couples review about the tea water not being hot enough. Though, on a cold, snowy day I can understand how that could drive someone to write a review. It was more helpful for the restaurant than anything. It was actually a positive review with a helpful hint. Bob Evans should've been more service-oriented, though ...... not allowing the couple to leave as they did. After all, patrons are guests and the employees are hosts.
