Electrolux Complaint - Electrolux Kitchen Appliances
ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA -- In January 2011 we purchased all new kitchen appliances, choosing the Electrolux brand; french door, bottom freezer refrigerator; slide-in dual oven range; over the range microwave; dishwasher. In May my husband spilled water on the top of the range as he removed a cup from the microwave. He immediately wiped it up, but the range began beeping and would not work. The control panel, which is not sealed against spillage-which we did not know and it is not in their literature- had to be replaced. We were without a range for 6 weeks because Electrolux kept sending the wrong or incomplete parts to the repair service. The control panel on the refrigerator has gone out twice, preventing us from having ice or water. This has taken more than a week each time. All of this hassle has taken lots of time to call Electrolux, arrange appointments, etc. These were among the most expensive products at Lowe's, but the quality is very poor, although they look good. I finally called Lowe's to let them know so that they can warn other customers. I may be able to return these and get a different brand, which I intend to look into. The frustration is enormous, and would be a real headache for people who work full time jobs.
