Sears and A & E Factory Service Complaint - Sears total disregard for the law and its technicians
TENNESSEE -- If you aint figured it out, Sears service and A & E factory service are one in the same and both are crooks, to the public and to its own employees. As a former service tech, I can vouch they don't care about their customers or their own techs either. Customer's problems are meaningless to them, and the techs as well. They send techs out with outdated computers, faulty equipment, extreme lack of parts, almost no resources, and expect them to give up all their time with their family to run their 8 to 12 calls a day over 150 to 300+ miles. The vans they supply are out dated worn out junk, unsafe to drive, and usually have at least bald tires, cracked windshields, and heaters and a/c that doesn't work. As for laws, they do not allow for techs to be paid to perform the D. O.T. required pre & post trip inspection. Techs are forced to cross state lines with no D. O.T. number displayed, no medical card, no physical, and are forced in the name of their superiors numbers system to ignore O. S.H. A., E. P.A., and state and federal labor laws too. And guess what, they have informants on the inside of almost every legal agency, even the state labor connected boards, and even have informants on the inside at most unions. They are also well known for finding ways to fire employees that have been injured on the job with documented and diagnosed job related injuries. A major portion of the injuries happen from Sears refusing to allow techs to have a helper on helper related calls, which is mandated by their own headquarters at Hoffman Estates, Illinois, as well as by their own tech assistance line management. And a lot are from vans full of junk, trash,& excess parts the techs have no time to deal with or from using faulty company supplied equipment. To say, Sears sucks, is a hurendous understatement. As for A & E factory service, that's Sears too. It was created to disguise Sears when their techs went to customers of other stores such as Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. As a former employee of Sears, I would advise everybody to shop elsewhere, refuse Sears and A & E factory service, and if you work for them or you are considering working for them, run like a snowball headed for He**.
