Sam's Club Complaint - Rotation of Tires

Complaint
Review by markandjenn1196654 on 2011-11-01
ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA -- Went to Sam's Club during lunch to have my tires rotated and balanced. I originally purchased my tires in 2008 from Sam's Club. They refused to balance and rotate my tires because because they do not keep service records dating beyond two years. I spent nearly 45 minutes trying to convince them that I had purchased my tires through Sam's club in Riverside and to please call that store.

After nearly 45 minutes of basically being called a liar, they were able to find my purchase receipt. My lunch period was over. Service was not rendered.

I just can't understand, with all the deals out there, why someone would purchase car "service" and I use the term loosley, from a "big box" player, much less a "members only" joint.

I would think it incumbent to the customer to have the paperwork. It's unfortunate that Sam's couldn't easily pull up the record quickly and the O.P. didn't have enough time for the service to be performed.

I bought my car's tires from Costco two years ago. Of course, the cost of the tires included lifetime rotation and balancing. How many times do you suppose I have been able to take advantage of this? Twice! Any other time I would go in, the average wait time would range from 2 hours to "we'll call you when it's done." I'd sooner pay to have them done than wait that long. My time is worth WAY more than an extra $10.
