Pioneer Hills Marine Complaint - What Warranty? - 2008 Starcraft boat

Review by sharonhko53 on 2011-11-03
ROSCOMMON, MICHIGAN -- I purchased a brand new 2008 boat 1 1/2 years ago. Myself and another person were told by the salesman that this boat had a 2 year warranty with it because it was a new and unused boat.
This past May I took it back because the striping on the side was falling off. It was fixed under the boats warranty. Now 6 months later, both stripes are coming off, even the one they just replaced. I took the boat back on on Nov. 1st. They refused to repair the boat saying it was no longer under warranty. They wouldn't even fix the one they put on that was falling off again.
My linoleum is also peeling away from the floor, which they also refuse to fix.
How does a 2 year warranty expire when I've only had the boat for 1 1/2 years. I hope someone can get me in touch with the manufacturer since I have been unable to.

Thank you for anything you can do.

So who is the manufacturer? That bit of info would help us help you.

Good point Petulance. Also, and most importantly, what do you have in writing?

Sounds like once they got your money, they were through with you. Forget the dealer, contact the manufacturer, keep track of who and when you spoke to a customer service person and tell them how the dealer is not stepping up to help. What is the make of the craft?
