Sears Complaint - 2 Year Old Lawn Mower That Won't Start
OAKBROOK, ILLINOIS -- Two years ago I decided that I needed a new lawn mower. My son had just bought his first house and needed a lawn mower, so, I told him that he could have my old craftsman lawn mower because I was going to buy a new lawn mower. I have had good luck with craftsman products for the past 20-25 years. I went to Sears to buy a new one. I talked with the salesman about all the feathers. I ask him, "where's the fuel primer button"? "Oh, you not need to prime them anymore because of the new design", he assured me. On my old lawn mower I'd prime it about 3 times and it would start on the first or second pull and it was about 9 years old. I told him that was one of the reasons that I'd bought the old mower in the first place because it would start on the first pull after priming it. I bought it and took it home. It worked o. k. but it would take about 3 or 4 pulls before it would start and as the weather turned colder it would take about 5 or 6 pulls before it would start. Now it takes 10 to 15 to 20 pulls before it'll start. This is piss pour engineering. Like the old saying goes' " If it"s Not broken then don't try to fix it".
