Superior Chevrolet Complaint - Price Switch, Blackmail Of Buyer

Review by mikecox36 on 2011-11-09
CONWAY, ARKANSAS -- Agreed on new price of car and wife went bye and looked at car and they told her that what she was signing was what I had agreed on. She asked them to fax me a copy so I could see it and call her if it was wrong -they did not and when I went bye the next morning to sign the amounts were different. I told them the amount was wrong and the reply was your wife has taken the car and went on her trip and WE ARE NOT WALMART WE WILL NOT TAKE THE CAR BACK. She had signed their paperwork and there was a paper saying one can not return a car. At that point I was told to simply shut up and sign or else they would ruin her credit. After several calls and emails I NEVER had a single person of management call me to address this problem. My son bought a new car this weekend and he was looking at this dealership when he called me and asked a question - I told him what they did and so he walked out and bought from another dealer. After buying 20 plus Chevrolets I do not recall ever being treated as poorly as this one has been to me .

This is a perfect example of why you can never trust a car dealership at their word. Their refusal to fax it says they were trying to pull something.

Their "refusal to fax" should have been enough for your wife to nix the deal.

Although the auto dealership sounds less than honorable, you and your wife should have signed for the car together on one document. Sounds to me like your wife signed whatever, drove off in the car and you showed up later to co-sign.
